I don’t think they are that much cheaper if you get the ones that look a lot like real ones. If you want to make sure it lasts then it is definitely the way to go.

Depending on the quality of the silk flowers you may actually pay more. I work in the wedding photography industry in post production and in my opinion fresh flowers will always look better in the wedding photographs, and these are what you will cherish more than anything in 5, 10, 20 years.
If you are fixated on the flowers and want them on the wall why not talk to your professional photographer about taking extra shots of the bouquet BEFORE the service. This way you could have a feature print on your wall (as big or as small as you want) and it can be artwork in the future. You’ll probably find this is a cheaper option too
best of luck

Silk flowers are definitely the way to go, in my opinion. I am using them for my upcoming wedding in Sep. I have made four bouquets, all the centerpiece arrangements and bought premade bouts and corsages. They look beautiful and the best part of it, they are ready made keepsakes without having to pay for, as you said, preservation.
Definitely go for it! You won’t regret it!
You can get them from Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart, etc.
I compared my local prices and found them for the cheapest price, and good quality, from ebay seller affordelegance.
Good luck!

I don’t know if it’s cheaper in price but it certainly looks cheaper to have fake flowers. I mean you only get married once god willing, spend the money and have some beautiful real flowers on your wedding day. you don’t have to pay to have them preserved, just press 1 or 2 buds in a big heavy book.
