I was thinking no more then $30 because after all she is a growing girl and the family just had a new baby. She’s not a very ‘girly’ little girl. She’s 8 and a size 12. My bridesmaids will be wearing these dresses http://www.foreverbridals.com/gownpix.asp?Style=78202. They’re chiffon and my dress is satin and chiffon. My colors are lilac, peach, and mint green with the theme romantic garden although it will take place indoors, because it’s early August. I want her to be comfortable but to fit in with the rest of the bridal party. I don’t particularly care much for solid white or mostly white FG dresses either since she will almost be my height (tiny bride here standing at less then 5ft).

I’ve looked on EBAY found some lovely dresses that are cheap but none of them look like her. Any links or suggestions would be dearly appreciated.

Start looking at TJMaxx, Target, Consignment shops, etc. They
will start putting out their girls’ Easter dresses soon. You should
be able to find one easily. Or if you know someone who sews, it
would be simple and cheap to make her one.

You can go one was of the best sites to get what ever you want… Amazon.com. The prices may not be cheap when you get the full results but then you can get dresses for 5$ when you type in cheap wedding dresses. Good luck on finding a dress and when you have your wedding.

My niece just got married December 6th. She found dresses at Burlington Coat Factory. Her 3 youngest sisters were flower girls (really big family of 9 girls and 5 boys) . I believe they paid less than $30 each for them.

I would not order a flower girl dress online…one of the biggest complaints from flower girls is that their dress is “itchy,” and if you order it online you have no way of telling if the fabric will bother her.
I would take her to discount stores like Target and purchase a dress in the desired color. I wanted my flower girl (whose family is also on a tight budget right now) to be in light pink instead of white at my wedding, and we found a beautiful dress for about $25 at Target that she loves.

I think spending a huge amount of money on a dress for an 8 year old is crazy. She will out grow it before she can wear it again! I would try Wal Mart or Target after easter to get a nice dress.

I believe the standard recommendation is not to buy the flower girl dresses until 4 – 6 weeks before the wedding, because little girls tend to have growth spurts.
You don’t say when you’re getting married, but Easter and Spring Dressy dresses will be in the stores soon.
I just looked at your sn & it appears that you’re getting married August 1. I wouldn’t stress too much about it at this point.

head to wal-mart, sears, j.c.penny, fred meyers – they all have really cute dresses in the price range you want – there is no rule saying her dress has to come from a bridal shop or fancy dress shop of any kind. now that christmas is over it won’t be long before spring dresses are out and then easter dresses which are always adorable!
i was never a ‘girly’ girl but my mum always found me dresses and jumpers that i loved and they were always from the dept. stores mentioned.
i think its great that you are being price conscious – they grow so fast that she won’t get much wear out of it before shes outgrown it!

you will get a cheapl dress at beautiful place & that place is ahmadabad where i am living. In ahmedabad revdi bazar is that place where you get a beautiful dress for your baby

There is a great website where you can find affordable flower girl dresses by Lito. Check Lito SKUs 1251, 1311, H341 and BL171. They are options in your price range and most have lilac as a trim choice. They are not “girly girl” and well made in the USA. Go to and check the other designers too, but the Lito dresses and their new Blossom collection may be just what you want.
